Look at This Cat of the Day: Winter is Rough on Waffles the Terrible Posted: 17 Dec 2013 04:02 PM PST This fluffy cat's name is Waffles, and the slippery days of winter are not easy on his ego. His attempt to jump from a snowy van to a snowy garage roof does not go as well as he obviously planned. I can only believe that he gracefully reached his final landing point with poise and sophistication. Submitted by: Unknown (via YakStudios) |

Bad Parenting of the Day: Lucky Catch by Airport Security Saves Baby Posted: 17 Dec 2013 03:55 PM PST An inattentive father sets his child on the luggage rack after going through security and doesn't pay attention as he falls over head-first. Luckily, a security guard is there to catch him before he hits the floor. Submitted by: Unknown (via Live Leak) |

The History Behind Santa Claus Posted: 17 Dec 2013 10:00 AM PST Nicholas was dedicated to helping the poor throughout his life, famously (and anonymously) paying for the dowries of impoverished girls. His reputation as a secret gift-giver around town grew with time, and he became known especially for depositing coins or treats in the shoes of children who would place them out for that very purpose, sometimes in exchange for carrots or hay left for his horses. Nicholas is traditionally depicted wearing a red bishop's cloak, and was often helped by a small orphan boy, according to some legends. Submitted by: Unknown |
