Frivolous Lawsuit of the Day: Yankees Fan Caught Sleeping at a Game is Suing ESPN, MLB for $10 MIllion

A fan caught on camera sleeping during a New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox game in April has filed a defamation lawsuit against Major League Baseball, the Yankees, ESPN and the game's two announcers (John Kruk and Dan Shulman),according to The Courthouse News Service.

Andrew Robert Rector, in a lawsuit filed in Bronx Supreme Court, lays out why he felt he was defamed after images of him nodding off at Yankee Stadium on April 13 were broadcast.

"In the course of watching the game plaintiff napped and this opened unending verbal crusade against the napping plaintiff," the complaint stated

Ukrainian Astronomers Officially Name a Star "Putin is a D-ckhead"

The Kepler Astroseismic Science Consortium has a funding project called the Pale Blue Dot Project, which allows anyone to purchase naming rights to a star for the astronomically (see what I did there?) low price of $10.00. A group of Ukrainian astronomers did just that, and elected to name a star "Putin-Huilo," with "huilo" being Ukrainian slang for "d-ckhead," "a-hole," or "dipsh-t."

The astronomers got the name from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Deshchytsia's now-famous outburst in June, in which he yelled "Putin is a d*ckhead!" in front of an angry crowd outside the Russian embassy in Kiev. The diss may seem rather pedestrian to the rest of us, but it's rather unique coming from a government official. The Kremlin called for Deshchytsia's resignation after the outburst, to which Deshchytsia presumably replied "lol no."

Morning News Show Plays the "Suck My D-ck" Part of DMX's 'Party Up' Live on Air

The crew of Good Day NY were playing a game of "Name That Tune" on the air, and one of them happened to choose DMX's 1999 anthem 'Party Up.' Someone forgot to actually listen to the song first before playing it, though. As soon as DMX yells "suck my d-ck," anchor Greg Kelly lets out a surprised yell and tells them to turn it off while the rest of the crew remain cool, which is all the more surprising seeing as it was the very same Greg Kelly who, just last week, basically sexually harassed a field reporter on the air. Priorities, Greg.
